Backcountry ranger contract solicitation of interest

Swan Ecosystem Center is requesting bid proposals for two 5-year backcountry ranger services contracts for the Mission Mountains Wilderness and Swan Front. If interested in either or both contracts, please download the solicitation document(s) and exhibits below (in PDF format) or contact SEC at 754-3137. Bid proposals are due March 12, 2010 at 3:30 p.m.

Swan Ecosystem Center's rangers care for trails and campsites, and provide visitors with information about Leave No Trace techniques and the Forest Service Food Storage Order that protects people and wildlife. This is a partnership program with the Forest Service. Funding comes from donations, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Recreation Trails Program, the National Forest Foundation and the U.S. Forest Service.

TRAIL CONDITIONS postings are available June through October.
